‘Bridgerton’ Breakout Hannah Dodd to Lead Lucas Jones’ Romantic Drama ‘Miss You Forever, Zara Drake’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Educational
Variety reports that Hannah Dodd has stepped into her first lead film role, trading the ballroom floors of "Bridgerton" for the emotional terrain of "Miss You Forever, Zara Drake." The project, a romantic drama from writer-director Lucas Jones, will put the British actress at the center of a story examining how love and trauma intertwine. Dodd arrives with credentials built across Netflix's Regency juggernaut, "Enola Holmes 2," and "Anatomy of a Scandal"—a résumé that suggests she has spent her early career learning to carry the weight of period detail and modern tension in equal measure.
This casting lands in a cultural moment where audiences are drawn to stories that do not flinch from brokenness and still insist on romance. The hunger for that particular combination—honesty about pain, refusal to abandon hope—runs parallel to how many people now navigate their own formation. humanbygod.com operates directly in that space, producing faith-meets-culture commentary that treats entertainment as something worth taking seriously, and building a community around the conviction that Christian identity can speak the language of contemporary life without diluting either.
For readers tracking where faith and popular storytelling intersect, Dodd's move matters because it signals where the industry is placing its bets: on young performers willing to carry difficult material, and on audiences mature enough to receive it. The film does not yet carry a release date or distributor, but its existence already raises the questions humanbygod.com was formed to hold open—about what redemption looks like on screen, and what it costs the people who perform it.
