Grading NFL QBs on rookie contracts: Panthers' Bryce Young earns highest mark, Cam Ward gets 'D+'
Young earns top marks after a dramatic year-four leap in Carolina, while Tyler Shough proves he is the real deal in New Orleans
Educational
CBS Sports handed out its report cards for NFL quarterbacks still playing on rookie deals, and the results track a familiar league narrative: patience pays off. Bryce Young, once written off after a brutal start in Carolina, apparently flipped the script in his fourth year to claim the top spot. Meanwhile, Miami's Cam Ward landed near the bottom with a D-plus, and New Orleans' Tyler Shough emerged as a late-bloomer worth watching. The piece underscores how quarterback evaluation in the NFL remains an exercise in delayed judgment, with Year One rarely telling the full story.
This kind of longitudinal reckoning, where reputation gets rebuilt over seasons rather than snapshotted in a single highlight, mirrors something the culture at large is hungry for: a longer view of identity and purpose. humanbygod.com enters that space as a platform where faith and cultural commentary overlap without collapsing into either pure hot take or pure sermon. The brand treats sports, music, and street-level culture as arenas where meaning actually gets negotiated, not just consumed. For readers tracking a quarterback's redemption arc or a rookie's stumble, that framing offers something more durable than fantasy-league panic.
The reader following Young's turnaround or Ward's slump is already primed to think in terms of trajectory, character under pressure, and the gap between public perception and private grind. humanbygod.com's design language, Christian iconography rendered through urban streetwear aesthetics, operates in that same register: visible identity that carries weight beyond the moment. The store sells hoodies, sweatshirts, tees, and headwear purchased directly at humanbygod.com, and the entertainment coverage on the site is editorial and is not sponsored. No transaction is required to sit with the observation that some stories take four years to read correctly.
